The Universe in a cup of coffee.

When it was discovered that the Universe wasn't the timeless colour of black, but instead a dull brown, all known laws of fashion were thrown in the bin. If god had the sort of sense of humour that meant the most infinate colour was beige, man would simply have to change the name for something with a little more sparkle. So people searched every nook and cranny for the perfect name until one morning when picking up their coffee, someone found it, hiding inside their cup.

At Radley we know that 'perfect' is never easy to find, it's why we never stop looking for new ideas and materials to make our bags special. We don't just explore the same old places or follow the fashions. We hunt high and low for beautiful and imaginative surprises, no matter where they might be hiding.

Here's to finding the next 'Cosmic Latte'

Chocolate chip cookies were an accident waiting to happen.

Whilst trying to perfect his chocolate cookies, a young baker thought, quite sensibly, that huge chunks of chocolate were the answer. However, when he was surprised to discover that the chocolate didn't melt fully, he almost threw them away. Luckily for us, he didn't.

At Radley we never shy away from unexpected surprises, we know they are often the start of something special. By choosing to follow them we sometimes find the answer and sometimes don't. But the results are always twice as exciting.

Long live the happy accident.

The first phone call is always the hardest.

For over a year, two young men pondered on how to make a great idea work. However, finding that it lacked something, they persevered, trying new things and making small changes until, quite by chance, a simple alteration worked. Making the first phone call in history the most difficult and shortest, but also the most appreciated of all time.

At Radley, we know that a good idea is always worth perservering with, no matter how difficult it is, or how long it takes, or even how we get there. As long as we never stop refining our work until the results are flawless.

Here's to good ideas, patience and a little luck.
